Spring is finally here!

Spring is finally here!  

The snow is not all gone yet, but I have faith it will be soon!  :)

It was a lot of fun to get out and take some pictures yesterday evening.  I'm happy to finally be starting my 2014 season, its about time we are able to get outside.  :) Thanks Jen and Chris.

And, to feel blessed by phone calls inquiring about photos for this 2014 season.  Thanks so much for being awesome friends and clients.  I am so grateful to have you all as part of my life.

Now!  Bring on some Spring Flowers and Green Grass!  I'm ready for some color around here.

Better Late then Never!!!! :) Thank you 2013

I have wanted to sit down and share a bunch of pictures for the New Years!  Write a little thank you to all my friends, family and new friends that have worked with me in 2013.  It was a blessed year.  I am so grateful for the gift that God has given me.  And, I am so very thankful for all the people that I get to work with.  

This last Holiday season was very busy for us and our 3 girls.  School break and small vacation time visiting family in Chicago.  When the girls and I returned from Chicago my husband started to have some major back pain.  It turned into 2 visits to the ER and transfer to a larger hospital for major surgery.  He was hospitalized for 3 weeks total including some acute therapy.  He is home now and doing great, and working hard at getting stronger everyday.  

A big thank you to my clients that were patient with me while I had to delay some picture editing.  I'm so thankful to have such understanding clients.  As I am approaching the middle of February I am gearing up for the 2014 season.  I'm really really looking forward to it, and looking forward to all the pretty faces I get to work with.  My big plan this year is to add another/updated camera to my family.  I'm excited to have the convenience of 2 cameras ready with 2 different lens.  

So, its a little late.  But, THANK YOU! THANK YOU :)

Ben and Laurie's Wedding Day

We crossed our fingers all day that the weather would turn our beautiful, but the rain came anyways.  Although, it couldn't have been more perfect.  We walked through town with umbrellas and had a great time taking pictures.  Actually something I had wanted to do for a while, but the weather never worked out.  Ben and Laurie couldn't have been more up for the challenge of walking through the wet streets to the reception hall.  It was a lot of fun to hear the Bride and Groom get the hoots and hollers from the visitors on the streets of Pentwater.  

I remember a specific woman yelling down the block, 

"Its Good Luck to have rain on your wedding day"

Sitting on the beach looking very comfy it my baggy sweatshirt.  My tripod set up as to look as I was taking pictures of the sunset, waiting patiently for Tom and Lauren to make their way down the beach to the spot where Tom was going to get down on one knee and pop the question.  What a fun evening!
