Malburg Family *Session*

What a great morning to spend at the beach this last Saturday!  I headed out with a family that I have known for the last 2.5 years.  I am certified to do daycare in my home and I have had little Maya since she was just a toddler!  Wow how time flies!!

Maya and my Kenna are in the same class!!  Her mom and I can only imagine what kind of trouble these girls are going to be! :)

One of my favorites!

What a morning!  I'm glad we started early, the sun was out full force and it was HOT!!

Monarch Summer Fun

For the last few years we have been walking through woods and searching on milkweed for tiny Monarch Eggs! The first year we did this my oldest Bailee was too cute while we tried to free our Butterfly, so cute she was featured on America's Funniest Videos!  :)  Well its that time of year again and we are about to see are first caterpillar turn into his chrysalis.  So I thought I would share this years fun, and i'll be sure to post the other half of this Monarch's journey from egg to Butterfly!

These little guys are tiny!!  Their egg is about the size of  a period at the end of a sentence.  Everyday you give them a new milkweed leaf and watch them grow!

Progression from egg to adult takes about 1 month depending on the temperature.  They grow so fast they need to shed their skin 5 times before they pupate!  LOL  I feel like i'm teaching Science!!

Took this picture just yesterday, this is a fully grown Monarch Butterfly caterpillar.  Just last night he has hung himself from his rear and we are watching for him to start to shed his skin!

Bailee having a last minute play with her little friend!
The girls are bing very gentle.  This is the only time we got the little guy out for an adventure, they are so tiny and fragile to be handled before this time!

What should we name him Mom?

One Last walk on his stick before we put him away so he can start the next phase of his journey with us!

Welcome Home Uncle Jeff

After being gone for a year in Iraq my uncle Jeff is finally home!  Welcome Home!

This is the sign that his son Cameron was holding, but soon threw into the air when he saw his dad!

We are waiting patiently!

Chris was really looking forward to seeing uncle Jeff!

Great time!

This moment between father and son brought tears to my eyes!

Best Buddies!!  Together again!

Sister and Brother reunite!

One of my favorites!  Father and Son!

One more favorite!!  A family complete again!  I love that Cameron is watching Mom and Dad hug!

Memorial Day!

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Memorial Weekend!  I found this poem and I wanted to share it with my photos.

I Stand Before You

I stand before you all today
But not one eye can see my way

My time arrived, to leave this earth
A fact so planned, to every birth

It happened where I had to go
My torch for life was so aglow

I transferred while in uniform
Protecting freedom, through a storm

Should I resent I died for you
Not on my life, red white and blue

Please help my family through each day
Tell all my friends, try not to stray

And of the country I did love
Do think of me, through God above

Your memories, brought forth this day
Send love to us, who could not stay
